¡¡¡¡The West Lake is situated to
the west of the city, and is said to lie like a brightly shining
pear snuggling up to Hangzhou. In spring, blossom peach trees
and swaying willows are silhouetted quiveringly in the mirror-like
lake in a thousand and one forms. In summer, most part of the
lake is carpeted under lotus leaves, while pleasure boats play
the waters. In autumn, the full moon tosses its image in the

pools of the lake while the air
is thick with the sweet scent of blooming osmanthus trees. In
winter, while snowflakes descend from the sky, red plum blossoms,
harbingers of spring, challenge the dominance of the icy world.
The West Lake is only 50 meters away from the IEC-TCM building.
¡¡¡¡Around the IEC-TCM, there are free-market-street fairs, galleries,
teahouses, traditional restaurants and curio shops for visiting,
shopping and browsing. |
